Out in the World

You know TEMPTED BY FATE is out, right?¹ We sent our photographers out to hunt down the illusive romance novel, and through persistance and great determination they managed to catch it lurking out and about in the world.

Because I said it'd make a good doorstop...

In case you had doubts, TEMPTED BY FATE kicks ass and goes for the jugular.

Kicking it in Brooklyn...

It sails through the air with the greatest of ease—TBF on the flying trapeze!

Treats at the Shack Shack, in the snow...

Spooning with a favorite friend:

Do you have action shots with TEMPTED BY FATE

Please share! Post, tweet, or facebook them. I'm wondering what sort of action shots you guys will come up with. You're all so weird creative, I bet you'll delightfully surprise me.

¹ Personally, I think you'd have to be blind not to know that TEMPTED is out, because it's plastered all over the web, but I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt.

² Now in a bookstore near you!

Also, Playing Doctor, the sequel to PROJECT DATE is out in e-format. It, too, is awesome. I could tell you more about it, or you could just check out the first chapter. So ask me questions if you want.

Also again, I'm doing a million guest appearances on various blogs and sites over the next two weeks. Stop by and make virtual faces at me. For more details, check out News.

Tempted by Fate

“Your book comes out this week,” a friend pointed out when he called me a couple days ago.

Buy TEMPTED BY FATE. It makes a great stocking stuffer. Or doorstop.

I wanted to say Duh, or maybe Really? I thought I’d written a million guest blogs over the past two weeks for the kicks. But I curbed my surliness and just replied, “Yeah.”

“That means you need to make this week’s blog count.”

I stifled another Duh. “Do you have any suggestions?” I asked mildly.

“In fact I do.”

“The kind that’s going to make me cringe in horror, or a real suggestion?”

“My suggestions are always brilliant.”

Sometimes it was best not to comment. Instead, I stared at the ceiling and started to count the knots in the wood.

“Hello? Don’t you want to know my idea?”

“Tell me.”

“So you’re in a café and a song comes on—“

“Oh!” I sat up straight, instantly intrigued. “And I write about the song.”

“Wait, I’m not done.” He inhaled. “So this song comes on—“

“It’s Sunny Road by Emiliana Torrini. I love that song right now.”

“No. Just let me finish.” He huffed in exasperation. “The song comes on, and it’s sexy.”

Also out: PLAYING DOCTOR, the sequel to PROJECT DATE, featuring Daphne. Stay tuned for the BUY link. In the meantime... want a sneak peak?

Sunny Road wasn’t sexy, but I knew better than to tell him that at this moment. I made an appropriately interested hum to let him know I was paying attention.

“Suddenly two of the patrons look up and catch each others’ eyes,” he continued enthusiastically. “A woman and a man. The man is tall, dark, and handsome, with dimples, but very manly.”

“This man sounds a little like you.”

“Write whatever works for you.”

I rolled my eyes. “And then?”

“And then the man gestures for her to follow him to the bathroom and they get it on.”

I laughed. “I’m not sure how your fantasy is related to Tempted by Fate being released.”

“You said your book is spicy.”

“So?”

“Well, my blog idea is spicy too. It’s like giving a people a sneak peek into your romance world. Plus, the man and woman are both tempted by fate. Get it?”

“Unfortunately.” I shook my head. “Um, thanks for trying to help.”

“Anytime,” he said, sounding very pleased with himself.

subject Help!

Hey! TEMPTED BY FATE is being released in a few weeks, and I have to write a marketing post for Romantic Times. I thought an author interview would be nice. Can you help me? Would you send me some interview questions? I'd love you forever.

subject interview questions

just kidding. hehehe.

here they are:

If you could have any five people (fiction or not fiction) on your zombie team for the zombie-pocalypse, who would you choose?

If you had a snail that could grant magical wishes, what would you name it?

If you were part of X-Men, what would your name be?

Okay, okay. Also, what would your mutation be?

Would you rather have buckets for hands or be blind? Why?

If you could go back in time for 24 hours, when and where would you go?

If your fairy godmother showed up today, what would she bestow upon you?

Do you have the rhythm of the hot dog?
