The Official Kate
I know, I know—it's lacking the polish of some of the other pictures. But, you have to admit, it's a charming picture. I look deceptively approachable. Plus, my hair looks pretty good and I'm not showing too much cleavage.
This is being used as the author picture in Marked. I'd recommend using it for newspaper articles and whatnot as well. Unless you have a compelling reason to use one of the next ones.

Okay, it's a good picture, and you can tell I'm an author by just looking at it (note the books in the background). But isn't it a little too typical? You know how I feel about typical. It's the wardrobe—I should have worn a tutu instead.
Still, the masses love this one, so if you need an alternative where people should recognize me, this is the one.

I love this photo. A little mysterious, a little wistful, a little artsy. A lot me.
I know it's different. I know it's not typical. I didn't use it as my official author picture just for those reasons (and I didn't want to explain that it wasn't a wedding picture). But it's a beautiful photo nonetheless and, if you think so too, have at it.

What would PR photos be without one of me in sunglasses? And I especially like this one because it's got a 1950's gritty glam feel to it—not to mention the seagull in the background. That sucker was huge.
