One: The Flirty Author

The general, all-purpose picture. This is my second favorite (see below) and my first choice as the photo to use. It's flirty and mysterious, hinting at the potential for fun.

This is the one I'd recommend for newspaper articles and whatnot. Unless you have a compelling reason to use one of the next ones.

Two: The Happy Author

Is that an oxymoron?

Anyway, everybody loves this one. I remain unconvinced, but I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Also good to use in articles and places where people should recognize me.

Three: The Official Author

The usual kind of author picture. Yawn.

I'm not very typical, nor am I traditional. But a wise being pointed out that people like the typical and traditional, so I should include this photo in the bunch. However, if you love me you won't use it.

Four: The Chic Author

My favorite. A little mystery, a dash of class, just a touch of wistfulness... Did I mention this was my favorite? I think I'm going to use this as my official, book-jacket author picture in the future.

Five: The Colorful Author

Because some occasions demand a touch of color. Nate picked out the shirt I'm wearing in this one. Yeah, he's cute and useful to have around.
