What Would <insert person> Blog?
I was trying to think of a topic for The Blog this week. I thought about writing something on New York, which is where I am currently. Well, technically I'm in Brooklyn at the moment, but that's not something interesting we should get into right now.
So I was sitting here and pondering possible subjects, which spurred me to change my Gmail status to WWJB? In other words: what would Jesus blog?
Which got me thinking... What would Jesus blog about? Or Buddha. Or Confucius. Or Abraham Lincoln, for that matter. (Not that I'm implying Confucius or Abraham Lincoln are deities—I'm just making a point. Please don't get your shorts in a twist.)
Which got me thinking more... If you could read the blog of someone from the past, who would it be? Genghis Khan? An Egyptian slave? A stegosaurus? Tell us.

I'm thinking Jesus would have pushed the task of blogging onto one of his apostles....
I'd like to read the blog of Thomas Edison -- especially while he was making thousands of attempts to make a lightbulb -- what was going throught his head that kept him going?
I'm a bit of a geeky fan of his because at some point I figured out that in some ways, he's responsible for some of the joys in my life -- I can read at any hour, I can listen to music, and I can watch movies.Posted by Jen, 16/03/2010 5:16am (2 years ago)

Maybe Catherine the Great. Cause really. What was she thinking? You know what I'm talking about. Or maybe you don't. Also maybe Cardinal Richelieu. Or the Medicis. Hmm..

Shakespeare would be my first choice, hands down. Aside from that, probably a knight of some kind, or maybe a Highlander... I'm big on the whole honour thing... (Though not to the point of the samurai... They seem a bit above-and-beyond)

Excellent ideas, ladies. I'm still trying to figure out who I'd want. Alexander the Great? Plato? Rasputin? I'm just not sure.

King Tut is an excellent choice. Hatshepsut too. And there's a host of medieval French authors I'd love to see blogging. ;)

After much thought - I favor Tolstoy's wife since she influenced and edited his works. Of course she is sitting in the yellow chair that has somehow been transported to the cafe Kate has discovered.
